If you’re recently engaged (congratulations!) and looking for a rustic wedding venue in the Cambridgeshire area, then you’ll want to get yourself booked in for a tour of idyllic Willow Grange Farm, near Ely, stat. It’s a stunning setting – a working, arable family farm with far-reaching views over the fens. On site you’ll find a cool and quirky ceremony silo barn or a romantic pergola for an outdoor ceremony, a pretty sperry tent for the reception and luxe glamping accommodation. If you think it’s charming by day, just wait until the sun goes down – not only will you enjoy the most incredible sunsets over the fields, but there’s also string upon string of romantic fairy and festoon lights, as well as a fire pit area where guests can enjoy atmospheric al fresco drinks.

It’s not all just bucolic vistas and stylish settings here though. The team at Willow Grange Farm know how to organise and throw one hell of a party (we should know because not only have we attended a dreamy wedding here, but we chose it as our venue for the Muddy Awards Drinks 2022!). Owner Clara and her husband Errol tied the knot here back in 2019 and loved their day so much they decided to share the farm with other couples. Fast forward three years and they’ve created a luxurious, yet sustainable wedding and events venue, as well as a gorgeous glamping site, that can be used as wedding accommodation or for staycations. As well as 15 beautiful bell tents, there are two safari lodges and two shepherd’s huts with hot tubs and outdoor eating areas. Choose these as your bridal suite and as a lovely space to get ready for the big day and you won’t be disappointed.

There are a few things that make Willow Grange Farm really stand out from the crowd as a wedding venue. The venue’s sustainable credentials are definitely one of them, with the option to enjoy farm to fork event dining by eating meat from the animals raised directly on the farm. Another feature that we adore is the fact that there’s so much scope to make your wedding unique. The double aspect sperry tent (that can seat up to 120 people) and all the surrounding space is a beautiful blank canvas, allowing you to bring your big day vision to life. Finally, as a small family-run business, you’ll be liaising directly with the owners too, and we can assure you they’re passionate about making sure every wedding day is out of this world, plus they have all the local wedding contacts to help make the planning process a breeze.
