<p>Festival season kicks off with a bang on <strong>May 23</strong>, when Leestock takes over the jaw-dropping Kentwell Hall (moat, turrets, the works) for a night of pure, unashamed nostalgia. Louise will have you bellowing every lyric you definitely still know by heart, Marvin Humes keeps the party rolling on the decks, and Sonique brings that euphoric energy to round off a line-up that&#8217;s basically a love letter to your younger self. Guilty pleasure? Not even slightly guilty.</p>

<p>Forget Edinburgh – the Cambridge Fringe Festival 2026 will be lighting up four amazing city venues, all within a two-minute walk of each other, so you won’t miss a single belly laugh moment. There’s an impressive line-up of over 100 comedy acts, and one could be set to be your new funny fave.</p>

<p>Beers, bank hols and beach views. This beer festival returns to Felixstowe on <strong>Fri 22 – Sat 23 May</strong>. Expect craft beer, street food and live DJs for Suffolk’s biggest al fresco knees-up. </p>

<p>On <strong>Sat 23 May</strong> Beccles Food &amp; Drink Festival returns with artisan East Anglian producers, world street food, cookery theatre, music and children’s entertainment, all completely free to attend.</p>

Anglesey Abbey has launched a butterfly trail through its gorgeous gardens — think lifecycle activities, family-friendly challenges, and outdoor fun that earns you serious good-parent points. Complete all the challenges and everyone gets to earn their wings for a triumphant photo moment (you know you want it for the gram).</p>

<p>Two whole days of plants, artisan treats and live music at one of Suffolk&#8217;s most swoon-worthy settings? Yes please. Helmingham Hall throws open its gates on <strong>Sunday 24 and Monday 25 May</strong> (10am–4pm) for a Spring Plant Fair that&#8217;s basically a love language for anyone who gets genuinely excited about a good perennial. Specialist nurseries will have you impulse-buying things you absolutely don&#8217;t have space for, artisan stalls will do the same to your purse, and the kids are sorted with their own activities while you do one more lap of the plant stands.</p>

<p>Friday night plans? Sorted. Folk Cafe in Bury St Edmunds is bringing the fiesta vibes on <strong>22nd May</strong> (5:30–11pm) with an evening that&#8217;s delicious and dreamy. Get stuck into Mexican-inspired bites and cocktails from the Kitchen and Bar, then let the music do the rest. Sundowner season? We&#8217;re in.</p>
