<p>If Christmas isn’t Christmas without a trip to the ballet for you then you’ll be pleased to hear <a href="https://www.cornex.co.uk/events/the-nutcracker">The Nutcracker</a> is returning to the Cambridge Corn Exchange from <strong>27 – 30 December</strong>, performed by the incredible Mergaliyev Classical Ballet and set to Tchaikovsky’s glorious live score (goosebumps guaranteed). <a href="https://suffolkcambs.muddystilettos.co.uk/things-to-do/arts-culture-things-to-do/reasons-to-book-the-nutcracker-cambridge/">Here are five reasons</a> we think it is the perfect Twixtmas day out. </p>

<p>The Traditional Punting Company, based at the Jesus Green landing stage, is running a&nbsp;<a href="https://traditionalpuntingcompany.com/tours/christmas-punt-and-hunt/">Christmas Punt and Hunt</a>&nbsp;until <strong>31 December</strong>. This unique scavenger hunt has two stages – a mesmerising punting journey along the River Cam, where you’ll unravel Christmas mysteries, followed by a city exploration on foot, tracing festive clues and discoveries. A festive prize awaits at Hardy’s Sweetshop.</p>

<p>Tackle a bracing Twixtmas North Sea plunge if you’ve got the nerve! Suffolk’s festive swims are a loved local tradition around the coast, with plenty of Santas and elves dipping more than just a toe every year. Lowestoft&#8217;s Christmas Day Swim kicks off the action with a dip on the big day itself at 10am on Lowestoft beach, just north of the Claremont Pier (raising money for local charities) followed by Southwold&#8217;s swim at 10:30am in front of Gun Hill (raising money for the Sole Bay Care Find, Southwold RNLI and The Little Princess Trust). Felixstowe has a Christmas Day swim too, returning for it&#8217;s 20th year and starting at 10am opposite <a href="https://www.thesuffolkcoast.co.uk/things-to-do/attractions/mannings-amusements">Mannings Amusements</a>. Then on Boxing Day it&#8217;s <strong>Aldeburgh</strong>&#8216;s charity swim, taking place opposite Moot Hall at 10am (raising cash for Make A Wish foundation and RNLI).
