<p>Yes, you read that right. <a href="https://suffolkcambs.muddystilettos.co.uk/things-to-do/review-animal-encounters-and-foodie-fun-at-johnsons-of-old-hurst/">Johnsons</a> is one of the few places in the UK where you’ll find a traditional farm <em>and</em> a crocodile sanctuary in one spot. You can meet Cuddles and Kisses, two of the resident Nile crocodiles, plus a whole cast of scaly, furry and feathery friends from lions and sloth bears to meerkats and macaws.</p>

<p>From pasture to plate, Johnsons takes farm-fresh to the next level. The on-site butchery sources meat directly from the farm, and the Steak House serves up some of the best cuts around — whether it’s classic beef or something more adventurous&#8230;</p>

<p>Feeling brave? Johnsons specialises in exotic meats too (all but the python are farm-sourced), so you can push the boat out with something a bit different for your next BBQ or dinner party.</p>

<p>It’s one of the biggest and best-stocked we’ve seen, packed with everything from artisan cheese and deli treats to fresh bakery items, local fruit and veg, and enough wine, gin and fizz to make it a party.</p>

<p>From deer and goats to peacocks that casually strut past your table, Johnsons is a non-stop animal adventure. There’s also a fab wooden play castle, a hands-on safari experience, and wholesome, muddy fun to be had at every turn.</p>

<p>General admission is just £5 for adults, £4 for kids (and under 3s go free), giving you access to a full-on zoological garden and tropical house filled with tortoises, pythons, turtles and more. That’s a whole day out for less than a London coffee run.</p>
