<p>October&#8217;s serving up all the autumn creative energy, and what better way to ride the wave than by learning something new? It’s good for the brain, fab for meeting like-minded locals, and an easy way to support brilliant indie businesses — our fave combo. We’ve rounded up five of the best workshops happening this month, from crafty afternoons and luxe candle-making to Pilates sessions and wholesome foodie fun. <p>For a spot of wholesome, hands-on fun, head to the Suffolk Food Museum for an <a href="https://foodmuseum.org.uk/events/apple-juice-pressing-workshops/">Apple Pressing Session</a> and learn the art of turning crisp, locally grown apples into fresh, golden juice.</p>



<p>Held twice a day in the farm barn, you’ll chop, mash and press your way through the process using a traditional hand-cranked press — then take home your very own bottle of freshly pressed goodness. Suitable for ages 5+, it’s the perfect blend of learning, doing and tasting (the best bit, obviously).</p>



<p>Got apples in your garden? Bring them along and join the squeeze — it’s the ultimate feel-good, family day out.</p>

Learn to design, carve, and print your own creations using a traditional relief press, and leave with a set of unique handmade prints. Expect inky fingers, creative vibes, and plenty of inspiration from both classic and contemporary lino art. Perfect for beginners itching to get creative! Plus, you can refuel at the wonderful Watering Place cafe after your workshop.</p>

Head to <a href="https://www.thestudiobartlow.co.uk/event-details-registration/reformer-mat-pilates-workshop" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Studio Bartlow</a> on<strong> 19 Oct</strong> for a brand-new Reformer on the Mat workshop, a 2-hour deep dive into all the juicy benefits of reformer Pilates, minus the hardware.</p>



<p>Using just a foam roller and resistance band, you’ll recreate that signature reformer resistance, challenge your balance, and wake up muscles you didn’t even know existed. Expect flow, focus and that delicious, post-Pilates lengthened feeling – stronger, taller and more energised than when you walked in.</p>
