La Raza has been on the Cambridge scene for many years and is situated on the quaint cobbled Rose Cresent just off the market square in Cambridge. It is a weekend regular call-in for many locals and visitors alike. By day the pavement cafe is always in the summer, and always looks inviting with flowers on the table and parasols up. The food is mostly traditional tapas such as tortillas, cheeses, meats, Patas Bravas, olives and breads and all very good.

There is a real passion for cocktails at La Raza, so much so that the sister company Bottleproof was born a few years ago – supplying the expertly made (award-winning) cocktails all over the country including to top London theatres. So you can expect a high standard of freshly made cocktails when you come to La Raza. You can ask for your favourite or choose from the menu which has a helpful taste guide – with cocktails mapped out according to your preferred flavours. For example, if you like sweet you might go for a ‘Tropic Thunder – mango, coconut, lychee & all things tropical’ or chose a refreshing ‘Spritz Up Look Sharp – low-cal, guilt-free refreshment with the best in Swedish vodka, tonic, apple, lime & cucumber’. They also have a highly curated wine list, as the owner Charles Anderson is a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to wine – so if you are for some reason not in the mood for a cocktail – you will be well catered for on the wine front.

La Raza also has live music, and DJs and at the weekends (once this is allowed) and a good-sized dancefloor, with a welcoming crowd of all ages – so get your groove on!
