Part of the luxurious Boutique Rooms collection, Conker Tree House is an elegant countryside escape that combines period touches and bucolic charm with 21st century luxuries. If you’re craving peace and seclusion and lots of space to call your own, this little slice of paradise in the pretty village of Perry, near Huntingdon will more than deliver. Everywhere from the huge kitchen/diner and the large lounge with vintage grand piano to the sprawling garden with hot tub is absolutely vast. It’s not lacking in the bedroom department either – Conker Tree House sleeps up to ten people in five beautifully-appointed rooms (handily, one of the bedrooms is downstairs too for anyone with mobility issues). Discerning dogs will love to experience the luxury Conker Tree lifestyle too, with their very own dog bedroom (with a doggy door!) and space for their beds right in front of the warming boiler.

A stay here can be whatever you want to make of it – you could lord it around and just enjoy the chance to spread out with no-one except the neighbouring cows and sound of birds singing to disturb you. Or perhaps you’re celebrating something special and want to invite family and friends to join you for one incredible get together?

As party pads go, it doesn’t get much better than this. We’re imagining gathering together our nearest and dearest and enjoying long lie-ins followed by a delicious breakfast round the huge table with views out over the garden. In the evening, if anyone’s a maestro on the piano forte they could tickle the ivories while everyone else reclines round the log burner on the huge L-shaped sofa. Then it’s time for some al fresco aperitifs in the gorgeous garden as well as a good long soak in the private hot tub with fairy lights twinkling overhead.

The kitchen has a gorgeous original AGA that’ll make cooking dinner a delight (there are conventional ovens too don’t panic!) as well as lots of top quality appliances that’ll please any budding chefs. And it’s truly the good life here, because there’s even a fruit and veg patch in the garden and guests can help themselves to the fresh produce. Too relaxed to cook? No problem. There’s a lovely village pub just a short stroll away.

With so much to enjoy at Conker Tree House, it would be easy to forget about the outside world altogether, but the property is perfectly placed to enjoy some of Cambridgeshire’s best attractions, including the sublime Grafham Water with its miles of walking and cycling trails, Hamerton Park Zoo, and Stanwick Lakes.
