Nestled in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, <a href="https://www.bruisyardcountryestate.com/explore/the-estate">Bruisyard Country Estate</a> is the kind of venue that makes you stop and stare. Spread across 700 acres of lush grounds, it’s home to the historic Hall, a beautifully restored 17th-century barn, and a scattering of charming buildings that set the scene for an effortlessly elegant celebration.



Manicured lawns and vibrant flowerbeds roll out from the estate, leading to a peaceful lake that sparkles in the morning sun — a dream backdrop for wedding portraits. Kelly and Nick tied the knot in the magnificent Suffolk Barn, a two-storey beauty that’s been lovingly restored to blend rustic charm with modern elegance. With its vaulted beamed ceiling, polished wood floor, and towering windows that flood the space with natural light, it provided the perfect setting for their unforgettable day.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-wedding">The wedding</h2>



Suffolk-based photographer <a href="https://www.samanthajaynephoto.com/">Samantha Jayne</a> worked her magic behind the lens, capturing every heartfelt moment — from laughter-filled bridesmaid prep to the couple’s four-legged sidekick stealing the show. Her stunning shots showcased all the carefully crafted personal touches that Kelly and Nick poured their hearts into, making their day uniquely theirs. With Bruisyard Estate basking in the spring sunshine, she perfectly framed the rustic elegance of a Suffolk countryside wedding, proving once again that golden-hour glow and a little romance are a match made in heaven.



Kelly and Nick chose Bruisyard Country Estate for their big day — a countryside gem offering exclusive hire for a full three-day celebration (because why limit the party to just one?).

&#8220;After visiting a few venues, we were searching for that real ‘wow factor’ — and Bruisyard delivered,&#8221; says Kelly. &#8220;The moment we turned up the drive, with the immaculate gardens on either side and the picture-perfect hall at the top, we just knew it was the one.&#8221;



Their decision was sealed after meeting Katie Packer and her team, who went above and beyond to make every detail flawless. 



&#8220;Their dedication was evident not just on the wedding day, but throughout the whole weekend. They ensured everything ran seamlessly, so we could fully enjoy the celebrations without a hitch.&#8221;

For her bridal look, Kelly entrusted <a href="https://www.instagram.com/hair_by_alicerose/">Hair By Alice Rose</a>, a go-to stylist for Norfolk and Suffolk brides, to create effortlessly romantic locks — think soft boho waves, delicate plaits, and just the right amount of undone elegance. Completing the look, <a href="https://www.thebeautyboxashlea.com/">The Beauty Box</a> (Lowestoft’s answer to bridal glam) worked their magic with glowing skin, golden-hued eyes, and a nude lip for that perfect barely-there-but-better finish. The result? Pure, ethereal beauty with a touch of golden-hour glow.

To complete her bridal vision, Kelly turned to <a href="https://www.instagram.com/wildspiritflorist/?hl=en">Wild Spirit Florist</a> — aka the ridiculously talented Lauren Shaw, who works floral magic across Norfolk and Suffolk. If you’re dreaming of that effortlessly earthy, boho-meets-elegance aesthetic, consider this your ultimate inspiration. Kelly and Nick nailed the perfect palette — soft sage greens and ivory, with just a whisper of warm nudes and toffee tones for extra depth. The result? A bouquet so dreamy it deserves its own spotlight.

After the &#8220;I dos,&#8221; guests were in for a double treat — first, a showstopping creation from local baking queen <a href="https://www.instagram.com/becscakecreations/?hl=en">Bec’s Cake Creations</a>, and then a night of serious dancefloor action courtesy of <a href="https://www.functionband.com/">The Play Back Band</a>. Fronted by the effortlessly cool James Robinson on vocals and guitar, with the soulful sax stylings of Caron Robinson, this band knows exactly how to turn a wedding into a full-blown party. With a setlist spanning everything from Stevie Wonder to Ed Sheeran, it wasn’t long before the entire guest list — from bridesmaids to grandparents — was up on their feet.

&#8220;All of our guests were blown away by the beauty of the venue and couldn’t stop raving about the food,&#8221; says Kelly.



Nick adds that their wedding was &#8220;out of this world, from start to finish. We did not want the weekend to end. Can we do it all over do it again please?&#8221;&nbsp;
