<p>The small, yet completely gorgeous village of Thriplow in South Cambs does daffodils like nowhere else. Every year the entire village turns yellow as 500,000 varieties of diffs pop up in every garden and bit of land conceivable. The villagers love them so much that there&#8217;s a huge <a href="https://www.thriplowdaffodils.org.uk/">Thriplow Daffodil Weekend and Country Fair</a> (taking place this year on <strong>22 and 23 March</strong>), where you can see the flowers in their full glory, as well as enjoying amazing food stalls, live music, flowers and arts and crafts stalls, pony rides, Morris dancers and live demos. It attracts around 10,000 visitors each year so get your tickets booked now. Or simply take a walk around the village this month to enjoy them for free. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-kentwell-hall">Kentwell Hall</h2>

<p><a href="https://www.kentwell.co.uk">Kentwell Hall</a> is a brilliant place to enjoy the seasons with an abundance of both snowdrops and daffodils every year. There are plenty of walks around the gardens with thousands of daffodils to see and when you&#8217;ve finished a lovely tea room to relax in. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-anglesey-abbey">Anglesey Abbey</h2>

<p>Kids will love skipping through fields of gold at this lovely National Trust property. There are so many diffs here (over 40 varieties in fact) that there&#8217;s even a <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/cambridgeshire/anglesey-abbey-gardens-and-lode-mill/events/804bdbd4-e977-444a-b56d-7717f773f802">specialist tour</a> where you can uncover their history and some of the subtle differences between them. There&#8217;s no need to book and the tours will be taking place from 17 March &#8211; 17 April at 11am and 1:30pm.  </p>

<p>Super cute lambs being born in the farm and daffodils along the winding paths &#8211; <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/cambridgeshire/wimpole-estate/events/a89af2b3-e8ae-4da0-b7a6-5969d00c5d0c">Wimpole Hall</a> is heavenly in Spring. There&#8217;s something for everyone here, a brilliant play area and the farm for kids and the daffodils, wild flowers and two excellent cafés for the adults. Back for 2025, you can gain a unique insight into Wimpole’s 79 varieties of daffodil with a special tour given by the resident daffodil expert. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-nowton-park">Nowton Park </h2>

<p><a href="https://www.westsuffolk.gov.uk/leisure/Parks/nowton-park.cfm">Nowton Park</a> turns buttery yellow in early Spring with thousands of daffodils throughout the park. Head to Lime Tree Avenue, which is an even more glorious sight than usual with the stately trees and a carpet of golden flowers. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-fullers-mill-garden">Fullers Mill Garden </h2>



<p><a href="https://perennial.org.uk/garden/fullers-mill-garden/">Fullers Mill</a> is a pretty riverside garden near West Stow that was gifted to Perennial by the late Bernard Tickner, MBE. There are loads of perennials to enjoy including daffodils as well as unusual shrubs, lilies and marginal plants, collected over the course of 50 years. The gardens open for 2025 from 2 April so you can catch some late daffodils.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-abbey-gardens-bury-st-edmunds">The Abbey Gardens, Bury St Edmunds </h2>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-ickworth-park">Ickworth Park </h2>

<p><a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/suffolk/ickworth-estate">Ickworth Estate</a> near Bury St Edmunds is always beautiful, but we particularly love it in Spring when clusters of golden daffodils peek up in the parkland and woodlands around the stunning Rotunda. Finish your walk off in The Orangery or The Porter&#8217;s Lodge café. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-melford-hall">Melford Hall </h2>

<p>Long Melford is daffodil central with the gardens of <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/suffolk/melford-hall">Melford Hall</a> also peppered with golden trumpets. You&#8217;ll find most of them closest to the northern moat alongside plenty of other lovely spring wildflowers. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-peckover-house">Peckover House </h2>



<p>If you&#8217;re in the northernmost part of Cambs you can find daffodil displays at National Trust&#8217;s <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/cambridgeshire/peckover-house-and-garden">Peckover House</a> in Wisbech. The estate hosts a number of events to celebrate the arrival of Spring including an Easter garden trail. The gardens are free to enter too.   </p>
