Superflashy newsflash

No need to have your ear to the ground when Muddy's on the scene! Here's the latest hot goss delivered right to you...

The Three Blackbirds in Woodditton reopens

After a devastating fire in 2018, The Three Blackbirds in Woodditton has risen from the ashes and this month (on the 14th March) the gorgeous 17th century pub reopened. Yours truly went to the Early Bird launch event and I can confirm that it is absolutely gorgeous and well worth a visit. The pub now has nine new bedrooms in the barn, as well as stylish new interiors throughout, which are a glorious mix of traditional charm meets modern styling.

Much-loved Suffolk bakery and member of Muddy’s Little Black Book, Two Magpies Bakery, has spread its wings and opened a new shop and café in the city of Norwich! The new bread and cake-filled café opened in February 2020 and provides daily fresh Sourdough bread, viennoiserie, cakes and a delicious brunch menu. Everything is freshly made on-site using high quality ingredients, plus there are plenty of vegan and gluten free options. So, if you’re holidaying in nearby Norfolk, the good news is you don’t have to go without your daily Magpies sourdough bread.

Thriplow Daffodil Festival cancelled

Thriplow’s annual daffodil festival, which usually attracts thousands of visitors by the busload has been cancelled… yep, it’s another victim of coronavirus. Even though the event takes place outside, because of the amount of elderly people who attend and the crowds it usually attracts, it’s been deemed safer not to go ahead. The daffodils aren’t going anywhere though, so if you want to get an injection of Spring head to Thriplow to admire the carpet of bright yellow flowers.
