Then listen up, because The MICHELIN Guide have just introduced a new appraisal system for hotels called&nbsp;<a href="https://guide.michelin.com/gb/en/article/travel/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-michelin-key-for-hotels-gbi" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Michelin Key</a> and one hotel in Suffolk has made the grade. Just as the Michelin Star recognises restaurants for outstanding cooking, the Michelin Key recognises hotels for outstanding stays. Like the Stars, top hotels in the UK and Ireland are awarded either Three Keys, Two Keys or One Key and the Swan Hotel was awards One Key and The Swan in Southwold is now the proud owner of One Key!</p>

Couples can now get married within the three acres of beautifully manicured gardens in the grounds of the 18th century Georgian house. <p>Alice Norman, head chef and owner of&nbsp;Pinch&nbsp;in Suffolk,&nbsp;has evolved her concept into a café. <a href="https://eatpinch.com">Pinch 2.0</a> is based on the regenerative and organic Maple Farm in Kelsale and is now located in a larger, purpose-built space, with indoor and outdoor seating, with a new menu, and a drinks list for the first time. Expect Roman-style pizzas, frozen slushies, cocktails, and wine, in addition to its already much-loved bakery offering of coffee, crullers, pastries, and gelato. The café is open Thursday &#8211; Sunday. </p>

<p>With it traditional thatch and oldly worldly vibe you&#8217;d probably expect a classic roast or pub staples like pie and chips at <a href="https://oldcrowngirton.com">The Old Crown in Girton</a>. However the newly reopened pub just outside Cambridge is now the place to head for top notch Nepalese cuisine. It&#8217;s the third pub to be transformed by Subodh Gautam and chefs Ravi Acharya and Purna Man Bajrachaya, who also serve Nepalese specialities in Whittlesey and Sawtry. </p>

<p>Bury St Edmunds won silver in the UK’s most&nbsp;in the National Dog Friendly Town Awards 2023 and now has its sights set on taking home the gold for 2024. Last year Girvan in Scotland took 1st place for the Most Dog Friendly Town/City in the UK, while Bury St Edmunds won silver and was crowned the most Dog Friendly Town in England. With its very own <a href="https://www.visit-burystedmunds.co.uk/category/dog-friendly">dog friendly scheme</a> (with around 140 shops, eateries, places to stay, attractions displaying a blue paw print logo), dog-friendly places marked on the town map, and <a href="http://www.burystedmundstourguides.org/our-tours/dog-friendly-tours">a dog-friendly town tour</a>, a 2025 Dogs of the Cathedral calendar available in the Cathedral shop, it&#8217;s certainly a worthy winner.
