<p>If you were as gutted as we were when Cambridge&#8217;s North Pole event was cancelled then this piece of news will be music to your ears&#8230; Seventh Events have won a 7-year contract to deliver a brand new Christmas in Cambridge event on Parker&#8217;s Piece and the 2024 edition will run from 14 November until 5 Jan. As well as having an ice rink, the event will transform Parker&#8217;s Piece into a winter wonderland with an Xmas Market, an Alpine Lodge full of festive foodie favourites, heated domes next to the ice rink so you can watch the action without freezing and an Après Terrace with games like shuffleboard and curling.  <a href="https://www.christmasincambridge.co.uk">Find out more here</a>.</p>

<p>Santa&#8217;s coming to <a href="https://suffolkcambs.muddystilettos.co.uk/little-black-book/directory/waresley-park-estate-cambridgeshire/">Waresley Park Estate</a> with a brand new Santa&#8217;s Grotto event where you and the family can meet Father Christmas and Mrs Claus, enjoy entertainment from cheeky elves and warm up with hot drinks and marshmallow toasting. There&#8217;ll be a festive market in the barn, a station to make reindeer food and gingerbread decorating. The event is open on selected dates from <strong>7 &#8211; 24 December</strong>. Other amazing events in the programme included <a href="https://waresleyparkestate.co.uk/silent-discos-family">Silent Disco Fridays</a> on <strong>6, 13 and 20 December</strong> as well as <a href="https://waresleyparkestate.co.uk/december-supper-clubs">December Supper Clubs</a> with top chefs on <strong>1, 8 and 15 December</strong>. There are also a <a href="https://waresleyparkestate.co.uk/weekday-workshops">huge number of workshops</a> to get involved in from wreath making to Christmas card and Yule log making. Finally there are pop-up festive markets each weekend in the lead up to Christmas where a variety of stall holders will showcase handmade gifts, festive treats and more. Wow! </p>

<p>Following the success of the Bury St Edmunds launch last year, <a href="https://www.everymancinema.com/venues-list/">Everyman Cinemas</a> are opening a 46th venue, this time in Cambridge on&nbsp;Monday 11th November 2024. The cinema will be on the second floor of Grand Arcade and will feature everything we&#8217;ve come to know and love about Everyman – luxury interiors, a vibrant bar, brilliant food and comfortable cinema seats. First up on the big screen? Paddington in Peru, Red One, Heretic, The Wild Robot, Venom: The Last Dance and Joker: Folie à Deux. </p>

<p>Cambridge institution <a href="https://www.browns-restaurants.co.uk/restaurants/eastofengland/cambridge#/">Browns</a> has unveiled a stunning new look that&#8217;s all jewel tones and Art Deco influences. The Trumpington Street restaurant is situated in the former Addenbrooke&#8217;s Hospital building but there&#8217;s nothing clinical about the look now, which is full of light, stunning colours and beautiful botanical touches. The restaurant has added 80 covers with an extension as well as a new terrace area, two private dining rooms and a stylish cocktail bar. </p>

<p><a href="https://juliaspencepr.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=dda7a1cc1ccccf47fe6a6e6a8&amp;id=56df8ab7c4&amp;e=c2df10f3f7">The National Horse Racing Museum</a> has galloped ahead of the field to win a Gold Award in the VisitEngland Visitor Attraction Accolades 2023-24. It is the only visitor attraction in Suffolk to make the list. The VisitEngland Awards recognise excellence within the domestic visitor attraction sector, with only 72 attractions nationwide receiving the accolade. Congrats NHRM. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-gastrono-me-announces-shock-closure-in-bury-st-edmunds">Gastrono-me announces shock closure in Bury St Edmunds </h2>



<p>Sad news from Suffolk&#8230; One of our favourite places for breakfast, brunch and cocktails has closed for good. Gastrono-me announced the sudden closure of the Abbeygate Street restaurant at the end of October, following the closure of the Cambridge branch a year before. </p>
