Orwell Park School near Ipswich has incredible grounds and a sporting reputation and both pupils and non-pupils from Year 1 to Year 8 can make the most of them this summer with <a href="https://forms.gle/zNRHY262FiKDGwx47">a multi-sport camp</a> running from 29 &#8211; 31 August. Activities will include Cricket, Hockey, Netball, Golf, Basketball, Dodgeball, Tennis and Squash and it&#8217;s nice a flexible at £40 for a day or £100 for three. Sessions run from 10am &#8211; 4pm although there&#8217;s an option to extend this. 



As part of Ferry Meadows&#8217; <a href="https://www.nenepark.org.uk/sixweeksofsummer">Six Weeks of Summer campaign</a> there&#8217;s a load of sporting sessions and workshops to choose from. Activities include: two-day youth RYA sailing courses (stage 1 on 22 and 23 July and 5 and 6 August, Stage 3 on 20 and 21 August), open water swimming sessions for older kids every Thursday 5:30pm – 7pm, indoor archery on 23 July, 8 August and 20 August, an orienteering challenge on 25 July, and climbing wall sessions on 30 July and 15 and 29 August. Some are drop off workshops while others require you to be there. 



Grafham Water Centre&nbsp;is running&nbsp;<a href="https://www.grafham-water-centre.co.uk/groups-and-clubs/discovery-club">holiday discovery clubs</a>&nbsp;for 8 – 16 year olds who want to try new activities or develop existing skills on the water as well as on dry land. Activities include sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, archery, climbing and high ropes. The good news is that you can drop them off at 8:30am and pick up again at 5:30pm!



Footie-mad kids will love you for booking them on to a <a href="https://thefootballfunfactory.co.uk/">Football Fun Factory camp</a> over the summer holidays. There are week-long summer courses taking place in Bury St Edmunds, Kesgrave, Cambridge, St Ives, Sawston, Cambourne, Burwell, Waterbeach, Soham and Cottenham in July and August.



School’s Out Activities runs lots of brilliant summer camps across Suffolk including at South Lee School in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich High School, Woodbridge School and Felixstowe School. For sporty types the <a href="https://www.schoolsoutactivities.co.uk/camp/adrenaline-adventure/">Adrenaline Adventure Camp</a> (7 -12 years) is sure to be a hit as kids get to compete in team sports, sharpen their problem-solving skills and try outdoor activities. Camps start on 22 July and run until 30 August and start from £35 per day. 



<a href="https://www.barracudas.co.uk">Barracudas Activity Holiday Camps</a> are running in multiple locations across Suffolk and Cambs, including at St Faith&#8217;s School, Cambridge from 22 July &#8211; 16 August, Long Road Sixth Form College from 29 July &#8211; 23 August and Ely College from 22 July &#8211; 16 August. There are over 80 activities on offer at the camps, including arts and crafts, sports, teambuilding as well as specialist activities such as archery and motorsports, for ages 4½ to 14. There&#8217;s also a 7-night residential summer activity camp at Bawdsey Manor near Woodbridge from 10 -17 August for kids aged 8 &#8211; 13.



<a href="https://www.kingscamps.org/venue/cambridge-kings-college-school/">Kings Camps</a> are brilliant sports camps for children aged 5 &#8211; 14 or 15 &#8211; 17. They run a Multi Active Programme that&#8217;s designed to get children active together through a week of over 30 sports and active games and give them access to all sorts of sports they might not otherwise come across. There are two local Kings Camps &#8211; at Kings College School Cambridge and The Perse School Cambridge, running from 29 July &#8211; 23 August. 



<a href="https://www.culford.co.uk/commercial/sports-and-tennis-centre/holiday-clubs">Culford School</a> is a sporting powerhouse so make the most of the excellent on-site facilities this summer by booking your kids onto one of their summer camps. There&#8217;s a multi-sport option for 5 &#8211; 12 years, a beginners&#8217; tennis camp for 5 &#8211; 8 year olds (6, 7, 12, 13, 19 &amp; 20 August), an improvers&#8217; tennis camp for 5 &#8211; 12 year olds (8, 9, 14, 16, 21 &amp; 22 August) and a netball camp for 7 -12 year olds (24 July). The main camp runs from 8 July &#8211; 30 August, so an excellent option for anyone whose kids break up early. Plus you can book individual days or full weeks. 



More to tire them out? Er, go on then – <a href="https://www.oxfordactive.co.uk/">Oxford Active Camps</a> offer swimming, tennis, and football – to name a few – along with arts and crafts plus a selection of team building activities for ages 4 – 14. Despite the name they’re running a camp in Cambridge at The Leys School from 22 July &#8211; 30 Aug. Prices start at £54 per day and run 8:15am &#8211; 6pm.

<a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/stoke-college-summer-camp-holiday-club-2024-tickets-918789493107">Stoke College</a> in Suffolk are running an outdoorsy holiday club for ages 9-14 years in the safe and beautiful surroundings of Stoke College. Activities will include sporting, craft and activity sessions and participants will come from across the globe to share cultures and have fun together. The camp runs on selected dates from 23 July &#8211; 16 August and costs £25 per day. 



Get your kids enjoying the great outdoors this summer by booking them onto a <a href="http://wildthymeandembers.co.uk/">holiday bushcraft workshop</a> from 22 July until 4 September at Wandlebury Country Park and Cottenham on Tues, Weds and Thurs from 30 July – 22 Aug. The sessions are run by qualified teachers from Wild Thyme &amp; Embers, who will help your kids learn how to survive in the wild should you ever chuck them out (joking, of course!). They’ll learn all sorts of bushcraft skills including shelter building, knots and rope work, plant and tree recognition and wilderness cooking skills.



Based over in Suffolk? Don’t worry you can get your little darlings up to Bear Grylls’ standard in survival by heading to Easton Farm Park on 22 July and Sutton Hoo on 25 July when <a href="https://east-coast-adventures.live.baluu.co.uk/events?previewMode=true">East Coast Adventures</a> are on site running workshops and sessions in archery, axe throwing, bushcraft, geotagging, campfire cooking, and paddle boarding.

School’s Out Activities aren&#8217;t just for sports-mad kids, they also have a <a href="https://www.schoolsoutactivities.co.uk/camp/creative-crew/">Creative Crew summer camp</a> for girls and boys aged 7 to 12 years who want to explore and develop their creative side, while still being active and having time to chill. 



Culford School has <a href="https://www.culford.co.uk/commercial/sports-and-tennis-centre/holiday-clubs">four drama workshops</a> running over the summer (24 and 25 July) for ages 5 &#8211; 15. Children will take part in games, and exercises before getting into the themes through acting, directing, movement and physical theatre. As a group they&#8217;ll produce a short piece of theatre based on that session’s theme.



<a href="https://cambridge.thelittlegym.co.uk/camps">The Little Gym Cambridge</a> are running summer holiday camps from 23 July &#8211; 30 August for children aged 3 &#8211; 12 (one of the only places we&#8217;ve found open to 3 year olds!). With half day and full day options it&#8217;s a chance for budding Beth Tweddles to take part in themed gymnastics sessions led by experts with activities that stimulate physical and motor-skill development.



Creative teens should check out the many residential courses on offer at <a href="https://www.csvpa.com/summer-school/#:~:text=SUMMER%20SCHOOL-,At%20Cambridge%20School%20of%20Visual%20%26%20Performing%20Arts%20we%20offer%20a,prepare%20for%20full%20time%20study!">Cambridge School of Visual &amp; Performing Arts</a> this summer. From fashion make-up and musical theatre to photography and film making there&#8217;s plenty of chances to learn or develop a skill.

<a href="https://www.nextthing.education/about-us/">Next Thing Education</a> are running tech camps this summer at St John&#8217;s College School in Cambridge, Fairstead House School in Newmarket, Ravenswood Community Primary School in Ipswich, St Helen&#8217;s Primary School in Ipswich Roman Hill Primary School in Lowestoft, Dell Primary School in Lowestoft and Willingham Primary School, Cambs. These camps are brilliant for tech-loving kids as it gives them a chance to get hands-on with hardware and gain practical skills without too much screen-based learning. 



School’s Out Activities also have an educational/ leadership arm to their camps with a club specifically aimed at teens (aged 13 to 16 years). The aim is to develop the <a href="https://www.schoolsoutactivities.co.uk/camp/next-generation/">Next Generation of Camp Leaders</a>, with their ‘5 Levels to Leadership’ programme.
