The Taproom, St Ives

A buzzy riverside café by day and restaurant/bar by night, the Taproom St Ives has recently had a stylish makeover, serves delicious food all day and hosts live music nights as well as community events.

From a chilled out coffee or lazy brunch during the day to a tasty tipple and dance in the evening, you can rely on The Taproom in St Ives to deliver. This stylish riverside café/bar on Bridge Street perfectly combines the friendly sense of community you want from a small town with the cool, buzzy atmosphere of a bar in a bigger city, and proves that you don’t have to give up socialising into the small hours when you escape to the country.

The Taproom has been central to St Ives life for over 17 years, but has recently been given a modern makeover and new lease of life by entrepreneur and new owner Amanda Buttriss. The Taproom now has a new and ever evolving food and cocktail menu and has an exciting calendar of events throughout the year. The bar is a wonderful place to relax with old friends or make new ones and you can be sure that if it’s going on in St Ives, it’s going on at The Taproom.

Whatever time of day you find yourself in need of food, drink and company, The Taproom is there for you, with impressively long opening hours. There are a huge selection of tempting choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a vegan and gluten free menu and then there’s the cocktail menu, with 11 amazing choices. Most weekend nights there’s live music from local bands or DJs and every Thursday it’s 3 for 2 on cocktails. Unless you’re within walking distance of home, you’re going to want to book a taxi!

With luxe jewel-toned furnishings, a lovely garden space, and a relaxed vibe that holds throughout the day, it’s the perfect place to meet your mum for coffee in the day and your girls for a drink, dinner and a dance come the evening.
