School House Rooms – Cambridgeshire
A lovely guest house and self contained lodge in a pretty Cambridgeshire village
Overlooking the village green in Waterbeach (four miles north of Cambridgeshire) The Old School House was once (1839 or thereabouts) the Parochial Village School and was converted in 1993 to a guest house and self-catering accommodation.
The main house has six ensuite rooms, and there is also The Lodge, a two-bedroom detached property with parking and its own garden. The exterior of the Old School House is picture-postcard quaint, and the inside has undergone modern refurbishment, with all rooms neat and comfy, with smart TVs, wifi, and large shower rooms.
Breakfast is regularly reviewed by guests as brilliant – set yourself up for the day with fresh fruit, pastries, yogurts, cereals, farmhouse bread toasted with jams or marmalades and/or a full English breakfast cooked to order. Lisa is the host, and also gets well-deserved praise for the very high standard of accommodation and warm and welcoming service.
