Well actually yes, because we’ve recently discovered the delights of The Ely Fudge Company, a gorgeous shop on the Market Place where you can buy traditional, crumbly handmade fudge in a range of heavenly flavours. If you can resist temptation for a few minutes, you can enjoy watching mother and daughter team Louise and Jes making the fudge in large steel pans and turning it on a marble slab right in front of you, before you head to the counter to make your selection.

You can choose between around 12 amazing flavours of this English fudge at any one time, including Salted Caramel fudge, Butterscotch fudge, Biscoff fudge and Eton Mess fudge. There are often seasonal flavours too, for special occasions like Christmas, Mother’s Day and Easter – all with pretty packaging created on site. The quaint shop is full of lovely gifts too, so while you’re getting your own sweet treats you can stock up on some presents. We can personally vouch for the fact that a gift of Ely Fudge will go down very well with your recipient.
