2648 Cocktail and Tequila Bar

2648 is hidden away on Trinity Street in Cambridge, a quirky basement bar, with a Shoreditch cool vibe.

This Cambridge basement bar has a specialism in cocktails, tequila and good tunes.

The owner, Tunji Oyewobi, took over the bar almost five years ago and renamed it (previously the Vaults)  after the address of Motown records. This basement cocktail bar has a cool collection of vintage radios dotted about, dim lighting and plenty of vintage furniture and sofas, games to play, and a great cocktail list. There is also a secret room which you enter through a bookcase – get the code from the bar man who may ask you to solve a riddle first! Once you are in the ‘secret library’ – head down the corridor to find – another mini-bar area specialising in tequila. Areeeba! There is a wide range of sipping tequila (no, shots is not the done thing anymore) to choose from and also lots of lovely nooks and crannies to sit in with your mates.

2648 is right next door to the Ivy and offers a completely different vibe, so if you like, something a bit more relaxed and cosy, where you can lounge on a sofa and play cards, listening to good tunes and sipping tasty cocktails, craft beer or wine you have can’t go far wrong with 2648.
