The clever mixologists took the nation’s much-loved espresso martini and added chocolate to create this smooth beauty, that packs a punch at 10% vol and will really impress guests. Serve in martini glasses, sprinkle over some chocolate and pop a few coffee beans on top for cocktail perfection.

Feeling fruity
This vibrant cocktail with a delicious raspberry tang would be very nice indeed on a warm summer’s day, but works just as well with its rich red colour and sophisticated Sex and the City vibes at a festive event. It’s made by blending fresh Scottish raspberries with vodka and cranberries and has a hint of citrus running through it too. All you need to do is shake it up with some ice and serve with a side of raspberries.

You’re sub-lime
Transport yourself to sun-soaked Mexico, or better make that Brazil, with this classic cocktail that has been elevated by Niche Cocktails with a little extra zest from Brazilian limes. There’s a good kick of tequila in this one, I felt rather tipsy after just one can (although it doesn’t take much to get me giggly!), and loved the contrast of the citrus notes and the salt. Buy in bulk because these are seriously drinkable!

Fizz the season
Our favourite in the collection of cocktails is this gorgeous pink grapefruit gin fizz. The refreshing combination of sharp succulent grapefruit with a generous glug of gin feels very celebratory and we would happily drink this tipple all night at an event because it’s not too sweet. While it’s tempting to glug straight from the can, you’ll want to serve it over ice with a pink grapefruit slice garnish for a sophisticated vibe.

Small, but mighty
Niche Cocktails are the very first UK company to produce short canned cocktails for anyone who likes a strong cocktail served on the rocks in a lowball. The company currently has two options and the first is this dreamy blood orange old fashioned – a blend of tangy Italian blood orange with smooth Bourbon whisky and bitters. It’s a wonderfully balanced and boozy beverage and we found it to be ideal nightcap to sip and savour by the fire after a long week at work.

We were a bit dubious about matcha in a cocktail, but one sip of this divine drink had us converted. The Cuban classic is somehow made even tastier by the matcha tea extract and could work for a summer soirée or at a Christmas party. It’s extra delicious with lime and mint, so have some garnishes to hand if you’re hosting.

The bee’s knees
Another real favourite in the Muddy Suffolk & Cambs household, this whisky sour blends smoky, rich Scotch whisky with sweet Manuka honey and a touch of citrus to create a flavour explosion in the mouth. Shake and serve over ice, turn the lights low, remove the washing from the radiators and your front room could be mistaken for a posh London cocktail bar – or at least it will after you’ve had several of these beauties!
