Back in my clubbing days, Blue Monday was an absolute banger by New Order. Now the phrase has taken on a far less fun meaning – it’s the third Monday in January when everyone reaches peak skintness, miserableness, boredom and sunlight-starvation, post Christmas. Yuck. But instead of wallowing this year how about embracing the blues? In particular Classic Blue, the Pantone Color Institute’s colour of the year for 2020, a a shade which is apparently calming and cheering. We have sniffed out five fittingly coloured Muddy treats, *Jason Donovan voice* especially for youuu. Then you just need to whack Madonna’s True Blue on the SONOS (speaking of bangers) and you can’t fail to have a good one.

Hill & Friends is a cult brand, adored by fashion editors and run by an ex Mulberry bag genius, Emma Hill. This blue beauty is currently massively reduced in the sale so technically it’s a bargain, isn’t it?
