Kesgrave Hall opening a new spa in Spring 2020
One of our favourite Suffolk hotels, Kesgrave Hall, part of the successful Milsoms Group, has just announced the exciting news that they are adding a spa to the hotel and it’s set to open this coming spring. The build started this week, so if you’re a nosey type like me, now’s a good time to pop by for a coffee. It’s going to be all Scandi-chic with a wooden-cladding exterior and log burners on the decking and both hotel guests and day spa-ers are welcome to use it.
New Neptune store opening in Harston, Cambridge
Interiors lovers rejoice (and start saving big time) because one of Muddy’s favourite interiors stores is opening a branch in Cambridge on 2 December. Neptune, who you may already know and love from their incredible show room in Bury St Edmunds have been carefully-restoring the 19th century former Three Horseshoes Inn, in Harston. You can buy everything from fully bespoke kitchens (my absolute dream) to gorgeous pieces of handmade furniture and cushions, rugs and gifts. Christmas shopping – sorted! Just be warned, once you become a Neptune convert it’s hard to stop.
The Lodge opens in Duxford
There’s a new hotel/ restaurant/ cafe/ work space opening in Duxford on 1 November and it looks set to be a beauty. The Lodge, Duxford has been renovated over the past year and is now a delightful mix of traditional and modern touches – think sash windows meet pink spiral staircase – and is the perfect place to stop by to WFH (that’s work from hotel!), enjoy a coffee, lunch or stay in one of the chic rooms if you’re not from the area (just imagine how convenient it would be to get to a Duxford airshow). We haven’t set foot across the shiny new doorstep yet, but watch this space…
